What AI video tools can Claude run directly with no setup?
Updated October 23, 2026 · By Tyler Bennett
No AI video tool runs in Claude with zero setup, because Claude has no built-in video generation; the closest you get is a one-time connector with a browser sign-in and no API key. Sloosh, Higgsfield, HeyGen, fal and CreativeClaw all connect that way, and Sloosh needs only its server address, https://mcp.sloosh.ai/mcp, plus a daily credit limit before Claude can make video (Sloosh docs, Oct 2026).
So "no setup" really means "no code, no key, no install". Each tool below meets that bar in Claude web or desktop. A few skills still need a coding agent such as Claude Code.
What "no setup" means in Claude
Claude's help center says Claude does not generate photos or illustrations the way image tools do; it builds diagrams, charts and interactive visuals instead (support.claude.com, checked Oct 23, 2026). Video therefore always comes from a connected tool over MCP (Model Context Protocol).
There are three levels of setup, from least to most work:
- Connector with browser sign-in. Paste one URL or install a plugin, click Connect, and sign in. No key, nothing to install. This is as close to "no setup" as Claude gets.
- Connector with an API key. You create a key in the vendor's dashboard and paste it into a config. More steps, and a key to keep safe.
- Local server. You clone a repo, install Node or Python, build it and edit Claude Desktop's config file. Developer work.
Claude's own rules add one more step. Custom connectors are on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, Free users are limited to one custom connector, and on Team plans only Owners and Primary Owners can add them (Claude help center, checked Oct 23, 2026).

Claude video tools that need no key
These tools all connect to Claude with a sign-in instead of an API key. Each fact comes from the vendor's own page.
| Tool | What you do in Claude | Key needed? | What it makes | Checked on |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sloosh | Upload the plugin or add a custom connector, sign in, set a daily limit | No | Images, video and Space runs from 22 image and 20 video models | Oct 23, 2026 |
| Higgsfield | "Connect to Claude" from its MCP page | No ("no API key required") | Image and video from "30+ models" | Oct 23, 2026 |
| HeyGen | Add custom connector, paste its URL, OAuth | No | Avatar videos, Video Agent, translation | Oct 23, 2026 |
| fal | Add its relay URL, sign in in the browser | No for OAuth clients | 1,000+ models for image, video, audio, 3D | Oct 23, 2026 |
| CreativeClaw | Add from Claude's plugin directory, sign in with Google | No | Video from models such as Seedance 2.5 and Kling 3.0 Omni | Oct 23, 2026 |
Best for, by job:
- Product and ad video with spend controls: Sloosh, which quotes every paid run and stops at a daily limit you set.
- Talking-avatar video and dubbing: HeyGen. Its MCP docs note that its
create_model_videotool takes 5 to 15 seconds through MCP. - The widest model catalogue: fal, where the MCP server is free and you pay per model run.
- Trying video without a subscription: CreativeClaw, which sells credit packs.
- Existing Higgsfield users: Higgsfield, with its workflows in chat.
Runway's older API MCP server on GitHub needs a developer account with billing, an API key, and a local Node build; the repository is now archived and points to Runway's developer site for agent setup (github.com/runwayml, checked Oct 23, 2026).
How to connect Sloosh to Claude
Sloosh connects to Claude in about four steps, all in the browser. You never paste a password or key.
- Get the plugin. Open sloosh.ai/mcp, pick Claude, and download the Sloosh plugin.
- Upload it. In Claude, open Customize, then Plugins. Choose Add, then Upload plugin, and pick the file. Or add a custom connector under Customize, then Connectors, named Sloosh, with
https://mcp.sloosh.ai/mcp. - Sign in. Open the plugin's Connectors tab, choose Connect, and sign in to Sloosh when the browser opens. Pick the workspace. On a Team or Enterprise Claude plan, an Owner adds the connector first.
- Set a daily limit. In MCP settings on sloosh.ai/mcp, set how many credits agents can spend per day. Nothing paid runs until you do.
Then ask, for example, "Turn my latest product image into a short video clip." Claude gets a quote, runs it, and the result shows in your chat and in Sloosh Assets.
The plugin also adds skills for product images, ad variants, Spaces, product video and UGC storyboards. In Claude Code, the same server is one command: claude mcp add --transport http sloosh https://mcp.sloosh.ai/mcp.
Watch out for: agent MCP access needs the Sloosh Pro or Max plan; Creator does not include it. "No setup" also overstates it slightly: you still add the connector, sign in and set a daily limit. The plugin's launch film skill renders with Remotion on your computer, so it needs a coding agent such as Claude Code, not the Claude app.
Frequently asked questions
Can Claude make videos without any connector?
No. Claude's help center describes no built-in video generation, and says Claude does not generate photos or illustrations like image tools do. You add a video tool as a connector or plugin first.
Do I need an API key to use a video tool in Claude?
Not with most current tools. Sloosh, Higgsfield, HeyGen, fal (for OAuth clients) and CreativeClaw all use a browser sign-in. Older or self-hosted servers, such as Runway's archived API MCP server, still need a key.
Does Claude's free plan support video connectors?
Yes, with a limit. Claude's help center says custom connectors are on the Free plan, but Free users are limited to one custom connector. The video tool's own plan and credits still apply.
Which Claude video tool is cheapest to try?
It depends on what you make. fal's MCP server is free and you pay per run, CreativeClaw gives new accounts free credits, and Sloosh gives a first workspace 20 starter credits once. Sloosh's MCP access itself needs a Pro or Max plan.
Can Claude run a whole video workflow, not just one clip?
Yes, with tools that expose workflows. Sloosh lets Claude find and run a published Space, read its form and get a quote, so a multi-step workflow runs from one request. HeyGen's Video Agent also handles scripting and rendering in one call.
Bottom line
No video tool runs in Claude with literally zero setup, but several need only a sign-in. Choose HeyGen for avatars, fal for model range, CreativeClaw for pay-as-you-go trials, and Sloosh for product and ad video with a quote on every run and a daily cap.
