Seedance 2.5 vs Kling V3 Omni: which is better for realistic video?
Updated October 23, 2026 · By Jason Miller
Neither model is better at realism across the board: Seedance 2.5 suits long, continuous realistic scenes with dialogue (4 to 30 seconds in one clip in Sloosh), while Kling V3 Omni suits short multi-shot ads where a product or person must stay identical across up to 6 shots in a 3 to 15 second clip (Sloosh model docs, Oct 2026). Both run in the same Sloosh Studio model picker, so you can test one prompt on each. Kling's newer Kling 4.0 and ByteDance's own apps are the other routes to know about.
The closest neutral signal is Artificial Analysis's blind-vote text-to-video arena: on Oct 23, 2026 it ranked Seedance 2.5 5th and Kling 3.0 Omni 17th. That measures overall preference, not realism alone, so choose by the job, then by your own same-prompt test.

What "realistic" means, and where each model is stronger
Realistic video needs physically right people and objects, motion with weight, and continuity from shot to shot. The two models lean different ways.
Seedance 2.5 is stronger on long continuity. ByteDance says 2.5 doubled single-pass length from 15 to 30 seconds, which avoids the seams of stitched clips. Seedance 2.5 can also take video references, which is how Sloosh's Shadow Clone Space copies the movement of a real clip of up to 30 seconds onto your own character. Motion borrowed from real footage reads as filmed.
Kling V3 Omni is stronger on cut-to-cut consistency in short ads. It accepts start and end frames together with up to 7 reference images, which most video models in Sloosh do not allow. That lets you pin the opening frame, the closing frame and the product's look at once, then write up to 6 labelled shots.
Known weak spots. BytePlus lists misspelled on-screen text as a known Seedance 2.5 issue and warns that the same prompt gives a visibly different style on 2.5 than on Seedance 2.0. Kling V3 Omni's 2,500-character prompt limit leaves less room for detailed direction, and it does not generate sound when you give it a video to work from.

What third-party tests found
On Artificial Analysis's text-to-video board with audio (Oct 23, 2026), Seedance 2.5 is 5th at Elo 1158, level with MiniMax H3 and behind Wan 3.0 (1175); Kling 3.0 Omni 1080p (Pro) is 17th at 1020. On its video-editing board Seedance 2.5 is 2nd (1155) and Kling 3.0 Omni 9th (1000), though Seedance 2.5 declined source videos showing real people on part of that test set.
Hands-on tests mostly compare Seedance 2.5 with Kling 3.0, not V3 Omni. MindStudio ran identical UGC-style prompts (September 18, 2026) and wrote that "Seedance 2.5 produced the cleanest results for people and product shots" while "Kling 3.0 came close on realism at a lower per-clip cost". Nereo (August 2026) split the verdict by job: Seedance 2.5 "emphasizes long-form audiovisual storytelling, dense multimodal references, and precise editing", while Kling 3.0 is "especially attractive for creators making short lifestyle and social variations".
What Google's AI Overview gets right, and what to correct
Google's AI Overview calls Seedance 2.5 stronger for raw realism and long takes, and Kling V3 Omni cheaper for short clips. That matches the evidence above, but three details need fixing:
- References: it says Seedance 2.5 takes "up to 50 multimodal reference inputs (images or clips)". ByteDance says up to 30 images, 10 video clips and 10 audio clips; 50 counts the audio.
- "Multi-minute storyboards": Kling V3 Omni stops at 15 seconds and Seedance 2.5 at 30 per clip; longer pieces are stitched or extended.
- "Newer Kling variants": Kling 4.0 is not on Artificial Analysis's text-to-video board yet, so no neutral ranking covers it.
Cost per clip
Sloosh's pricing page lists Seedance 2.5 at about 3.47 credits per second of video (Oct 2026), so a 10-second clip is roughly 35 credits before options. Kling V3 Omni's price depends on length, resolution and sound, and the Generate button shows it before you run.
At API list prices, BytePlus's 5-second 16:9 example works out to $0.569 per second for Seedance 2.5 at 1080p (an estimate: it bills by tokens). Kling lists Kling 3.0 Omni at $0.14 per second at 1080p with audio and $0.42 in 4K. Seedance costs about four times as much at 1080p.
Other places to run each model
- Kling's own app and Kling 4.0. Kling's site now leads with Kling 4.0, which Kling says generates 3 to 30 second clips with 4K output and up to 15 reference assets, with full launch set for October 2026. It is not in Sloosh Studio as of Oct 23, 2026. Best for: people who want Kling's newest model first.
- BytePlus ModelArk and fal. BytePlus lists Seedance 2.5 in its ModelArk docs, and fal has a Seedance 2.5 text-to-video API. Best for: developers.
- Sloosh Studio. Both models, plus Kling 3.0, Kling O3 and Seedance 2.0, under one plan. Best for: comparing on your own prompt without two subscriptions.

How to compare both in one Sloosh workspace
- Open Studio Video and pick Seedance 2.5 in the model chip.
- Write one scene with a person or product, the camera move and the sound. Keep it under 2,500 characters so Kling V3 Omni can take the same text.
- Set 10 seconds, 16:9 and 1080p, and press Generate; the button shows the cost first.
- Open the result, press Recreate, switch the model chip to Kling V3 Omni and run it again with the same settings.
- Compare faces, hands, fabric and camera motion side by side in My generations.
Watch out for: Sloosh has no split-screen view, so you compare by opening the two clips in My generations. Seedance 2.5 tops out at 1080p, and Kling 4.0 is not available in Sloosh yet.
